1BigLegal Ltd (BigLegal) sets out in this Privacy Notice how it collects, uses and shares your personal data.
2What personal data is BigLegal collecting?
2.1BigLegal will collect:

3How is BigLegal collecting your personal data?
3.1BigLegal will collect your personal data from you when you sign up to use the BigLegal services. Under our agreement with you, you must provide the at the minimum your name, email address, company name and company address. Failing to do so would mean you cannot use the services.
4What is BigLegal going to do with your personal data?
4.1Any personal data that you submit to BigLegal will be held on secure servers, based within the European Economic Area (EEA).
4.2All data collected by BigLegal including personal data is transferred between users and BigLegal and stored by BigLegal using encryption technology.
4.2BigLegal will use your personal details to provide the services to you and other users and to contact you to provide customer support in relation to the services.
5Who is BigLegal going to share your personal data with and what will they do with it?
5.1By signing up to use the BigLegal services you agree to your name and company name being included in the search capability within the BigLegal share function.
5.1When any other user searches for people to share with in the BigLegal Share function, they may see your name and company name if it appears as a result of their search query.
6.1If the personal data BigLegal holds about you is incorrect you can correct it. You can edit all personal data that BigLegal holds about you by logging into your account and updating your account information.
6.2You have the right to delete the information that BigLegal holds about you. You can do this by logging into your account, going to the account information section and requesting that BigLegal delete your account including your personal data.
6.3You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. You also have a right to ask BigLegal to restrict how BigLegal uses your personal data. Any considerations should be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that regarding such objections or restrictions
6.3.1BigLegal cannot provide services without holding a minimum of personal data in order to identify its users and as such cannot maintain open accounts without the minimum information outlined in 3.1.
6.3.2The sharing of information with other users as outlined in part 5 is fundamental to the collaborative nature of BigLegal’s services.
6.4Please note that objections or restrictions under 6.3 may be subject to refusal by BigLegal if there Is a compelling legitimate ground to do so. You always have the right to delete your personal data by deleting your account as outlined in 6.2, but doing this will mean you are no longer be able to use the services.
6.5You can also ask BigLegal to send you, or another organisation, information that you have provided to BigLegal in a format that can be read by computer.
6.6If BigLegal changes the way that BigLegal uses your personal data at any point, BigLegal will amend this Privacy Notice and send the updated version to you no less than one week before BigLegal makes the change, by way of an email to the email address you have provided in your account information. .
7 You also have a right to know what information BigLegal is holding about you.
7.1If you would like to know what information BigLegal is holding about you, please log on to your account on BigLegal and go to the account information section or alternately you can submit a request via the Support link accessible in the footer on the BigLegal site. BigLegal may require you to verify your identity before BigLegal provides you with the requested information.
8 How long will BigLegal keep your personal data for?
7.1BigLegal will keep your information for only as long as BigLegal needs to in accordance with its legal and regulatory requirements. In practice, this means that BigLegal does not keep your personal data beyond account closing in most cases.
9 Legal grounds for using your information
9.1BigLegal has an agreement with you to provide services. BigLegal is allowed to use personal information about you where this is necessary to perform our obligations under this agreement.
9.1Unless this would be unfair to you, BigLegal and other users have a legitimate interest in allowing your information to be viewed by others as described in part 5 above. 10 Things BigLegal will not do
10.1BigLegal will not ordinarily share your personal data with any third parties that are not users of the BigLegal services. BigLegal does not have any affiliated entities with which BigLegal ordinarily shares your personal data. Occasionally, BigLegal may need to share your personal data with others, for example, BigLegal may need to share your personal data with our legal advisors if you make a complaint.
10.2BigLegal may at any time assign, transfer or sub-contract all or any of its rights or obligations. If BigLegal exercises its rights under this 10.2, BigLegal shall ensure that the entity to which its rights or obligations are assigned, transferred or sub-contracted are required to comply with the terms of this Privacy Notice.
10.3BigLegal will not subject your personal data to automated decisions.
11 Children Under Age 13
11.1BigLegal is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to BigLegal. BigLegal does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 and if BigLegal learns it has collected or received personal information from a child under 13, it will delete that information.
